SRB was formed soon after the Joystring had a hit song with 'It's an open secret'. Based at the Salvation Army Gloucester Corps in the UK
they were formerly known as The 125's then Inspiration but within a few years became a household name (in the Army at least) and as SRB became popular around the UK for their lively (and fun) gospel rock concerts. The album 'Footprints on the water' was recorded at Chapel Lane studios in Herefordshire
Uk during the summer of 1979.
Although officially disbanding in 1984 after 20 years of gospel music making
the band reformed on two ocassions for a reunion concert
the latter of which was to a packed audience in 2005 at their home corps in Gloucester.
The picture left to right shows Roger (drummer) Colin (Guitar) Jidd (Bass) Cliff (Keyboards) & Spud - being carried (Lead Guitar). The band members have remained close friends and regularly meet in the UK
and with the aid of hair restorer
hearing aids and zimmer frame they reminisce about the 'good old days'.
