This song was inspired by Jesus’ triumphal entry—and fulfilled prophecy—on Palm Sunday (Matthew 21:6-11 and Zechariah 9:9-17). This triumphal entry is one of the greatest moments in the history of the world. It is one of the only times yet recorded when humanity truly understood who Jesus was and responded in the correct way, by praising Him as our savior. ; There aren’t many songs written about Palm Sunday. Our Salvation Army Song Book only contains 2 songs that mention this glorious moment (#150, #853). To put it in perspective, the same Song Book contains 9 songs about the SA flag and 6 songs about new buildings. We pray that you will join in shouting “Hosanna!” (or “Save Now!”) and allow Him to enter into your corps, schools, homes and communities as your Lord and Savior. ; This song is from our new full length album entitled "The Mercy Seat Sessions", which centers on the Mercy Seat and follows the themes of Salvation, Consecration, New Life and Mission. The album will be available at the Central Territory’s Youth & Commissioning Weekend (June 6-8) and on our website http://thesingingcompany.com.
